Meeting called to order 0845. Minutes of March 8/01 meeting read and adopted.

with Conductor document envelope.

SHR0012-02: Sicamous Yard - holes left in ballast from ballast regulator.

SHR0012-04: Notch Hill - west leg of wye - numerous tripping hazards on ground
and scrap ties
creating restricted clearance.

SHR0012-10 Unit 9561 battery overcharging - GE advises not to shut down engine.

SHR0102-03: Lead locomotives (9000 series) - seat uncomfortable

SHR0102-06: Moberly back track - derail installed at west end - should also
be installed east
end.

SHR0102-07: Grinding frogs - recent findings have determined that Manganese,
a substance
found in frogs, is contributing to Parkinson disease like symptoms.
Action (0104) J. Wells suggested that employees should be tested. T. Bergstrom
to advise.

SHR0102-08: Salmon Arm Station basement - asbestos warning sign to not disturb
- but there
is a furnace in the same location - determine if an air intake/or out-take.
Also, mold
in basement.

SHR0103-05: Carrying lanterns while switching can be hazardous - recommend headlamps
for
hands- free operation (used in other terminals).

SHR0103-06: Safety vests (2) - being caught on equipment.

SHR0104-01: Employee Parking Lot - Revelstoke complaint re yearly condition
of drainage.
Action (0104) TMS E. Palasz advises lot to be graded and spayed. MOTION TO CARRY
SHR0104-02: Loose boards (2x4) sticking out from under lumber on bulkhead flats
on
462-02/999-02.
Action(0104) Campbell Creek reload centre management contacted - advised loading
crews to be
more vigilant. Car numbers should be obtained and boards to be removed (if in
location
where this can be done), set the cars off, contact the Yardmaster, RTC or a
Road Manager
should be contacted immediately. MOTION TO DELETE
SHR0104-03: Unit CEFX 134 - bad draft from under control desk when unit moving
and
Conductor's window open.

SHR0104-04: Ditch lights on reverse movement not operating on caboose, Donald
Swt 5985 West
over public crossings M.44.9 and 45.5 (violation Safety Policy Jan 1/00, GOI
Sec 5, Item
7.1, CROR 17.2
Action(0104) TR Bompas confirmed the generator and inspection lights do not
operate. The
riding platform will have work done to fix the generator and inspection lights.

SHR0104-05: Kamloops Resthouse - advice of Boil Advisory for drinking water
(03/13) not
posted at resthouse.
Action(0104) Upon advice received water usage restricted, bottled water provided.
Water
purifiers installed.

SHR0104-06: Connaught Tunnel - both sides hazardous walking area.
Action(0104) TMS Sadek advises ditch area has to be maintained to allow water
to drain.

SHR0104-07: Article received regarding 15-person vans pose higher risk factor
for rollovers.
Action(0104) All taxi companies have been contacted and confirmed they do not
utilize the
15-passenger vans. MOTION TO DELETE

Hot Box Detector Alarm System Readouts - G. Mullally advises costly venture.
Look to
possibility of lowering volume.

tare weight.
Requested that they be weighed and decal applied.

Item 0104-04: K. Jones requested mile boards be installed for BTMF truck crossings
- he
advises for gangs, etc on property that are not familiar with location.
Action (0104) TMS's to identify and advise locations mile boards are required.

Item 0104-05: G. Meloro questioned required safety precautions for equipment
coming on
property (rail grinder, etc) re water supplies, fire suppression for upcoming
dry conditions

Action(0104) Committee discussed and recommended issue be brought to E/S attention.

Item 0104-06: P. Bede questioned lack of cleaning of washrooms on second unit
in particular.
He stated often the second units do not make it to Golden for regular cleaning.
Action(0104) Committee discussed and agreed that this is often the case, but
they eventually
do make it in for cleaning and that is the best solution that can be done.

Item 0104-07: P. Bede requested extension of roadway adjacent to N.Track Golden
to allow
easier access for fuelling truck.
