AGREED PRACTICE IN EFFECT AT REVELSTOKE, B. C., BETWEEN CP RAIL

      AND THE BROTHERHOOD OF LOCOMOTIVE ENGINEERS DIVISION 657

LIMITATION OF AGREED PRACTICE/APPLICATION OF COLLECTIVE AGREEMENT
-----------------------------------------------------------------

A)  This Agreed Practice is supplemental to the Collective Agreement
    and, except as necessary for the implementation of this agreed
    practice, the Collective Agreement will apply.

B)  This Agreed Practice is effective April 3, 2000 and,
    this practice will remain in effect until cancelled either in
    whole or in part, upon seven (7) days' notice from one party to
    the other.


    AGREED PRACTICE #5 - ASSIGNED FREIGHT POOL SHUSWAP SUBDIVISION
    ===============================================================

   Effective 0001, April 3rd, 2000.  Trains 991 and 992 will be
   operated between Revelstoke and Kamloops with two (2) separate
   Locomotive Engineers operating on a first-in first-out basis.
   This pool will be known as the Shuswap Subdivision Assigned
   Freight Pool with two assigned crews known as jobs "C" and "D"
   which will be ordered on alternating days as follows:

    A)  The assigned Locomotive Engineers will be called for train
        991 between 1000 and 1500 from the Home Terminal
        (Revelstoke).
        If no connection can be made between 1000 and 1500, the
        assigned crew will be called for 1800 to deadhead to Kamloops
        by taxi to protect 992 ex Kamloops.

    B)  The assigned Locomtive Engineers at the away-from-home
        terminal will be called for train 992 between 0400 and 0900.
        If 992 is cancelled or a connection is not possible by 0900
        the assigned Locomotive Engineer will be called to deadhead
        to Revelstoke on the 0645 Greyhound bus.

    C)  If train 991 does not operate in the window for the assigned
        Locomotive Engineer ex Revelstoke and no connection can be
        made for train 992, and the assign crew is cancelled at Revelstoke.
        The Locomotive Engineer will only be paid a 100 mile deadhead
        Revelstoke to Kamloops and 100 mile deadhead Kamloops to
        Revelstoke.

    D)  Fixed rate of 180 miles (including all EC and TJ claims) will
        apply to the assigned crews on train's 991 and 992.
        All other provisions of the Collective Agreements will
        continue to apply.

    E)  When train 991 or 992 is relieved enroute a minimum of 153
        miles will be payment for the tour of duty.

    F)  All miles earned by the assigned train crews will be excluded
        from the mileage check for the unassigned Shuswap
        Subdivision Freight Pool.

    G)  When scheduling problems occur this agreement may be reviewed
        and altered by mutual agreement after consultation between
        the Company and the Union has taken place.

    H)  Permanent and temporary vacancies will be filled in
        accordance with the provisions of the Collective Agreement,
        Local Rules, and agreed practices.

    I)  This understanding will not result in any added expense
        to the Company nor will it cause any delays to time
        sensitive traffic.
